Dear reader, my third book, Missed Call, an anthology of flash fiction published by Mathrubhumi Books, Kozhikode, is up and alive. At the risk of sounding imprudent, let me add a few things about the book; it's a first-of-its-kind in Malayalam publishing industry. Every piecce in the book is blessed by a special effort of my fellow writers. For all their grinding assignments, they had spent time reading my work and done wonderful illustrations, each a work of art in itself. Given the fact that a few among them are trained painters, their work has someome say painting should've been their calling. Once again a big thank you all, MN Karassery , D Vinayachandran, KP Ramanunni, Kalpetta Narayanan, NP Hafiz Mohammed, Shihabudeen Poythumkadavu, PK Parakkadavu, Subash Chandran, Santhosh Eachikkanam, KR Meera, S Sithara, K Madhupal, S Joseph, TB Lal, AC Sreehari, Shyam Sudhakar, Aaatmaja, Swapna Sreenivasan, Kavitha Balakrishnan and Biju Kanjangad.

Perakka (guava), my first published novel, is a fruit of my feeling after watching the Vietnamese movie The House of Guavas. The film had set run a train of memories inside me. How can a Kerala boy's chilldhood be complete without guava? I hope the same feeling would be the case with everyone who read it.
I had just finished my post graduation that summer in 2003. The draft was ready in 48 hours as I went on writing hysterically. It took me another two years to see it in print. When it got out, it came in for scating criticism. It would be thankless to forget those who lent words of support.

Dear reader, let me bring Vincent Vangogh into my sad 21st century story. He offered his one ear to his lover; I offer my bleeding words. My first story collection 'Vangoginte Chevi' (The Ear of Vangogh) was published when I was doing my post graduation. It's collection of many of my old short stories . Though writer B Murali termed those stories as the new embellishment in the festivity called story writing, I feel that it needed readers' final vote too to be called it so.
